Women's Bible Study
Women's Bible Study
April 23, 2025 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Ladies, join us for a Bible study at Alison Paladichuk's home. (Check our weekly e-newsletter for the address.) Patti Helzer will be leading us in a study based on a book called “Unoffendable: How Just One Change Can Make All of Life Better” by Brant Hansen. You will need to purchase the book as well as a workbook for the study. (Please click these links to order them on Amazon. The cost of both books is about $25. If you want to be part of the study, it’s very important that you order these books so you can fully participate. If finances are an issue, please let us know at info@citygateoc.com, and we will make sure you are able to participate.)
More info about what to expect: This will be a 6-week Bible study, which will include a 20-minute video talk by Brant, a deep dive discussion, and prayer & fellowship. Here is a brief synopsis of the book: Whether you’re scrolling through social media, sitting around the dinner table, or watching the news, it’s good to be angry at inappropriate comments, or about horrible behavior-right? It almost seems wrong not to be offended at the way things are in the world right now. Brant Hansen has a radical idea for this divisive era: what if we were able to scroll, chat, watch, and respond without anger? What if we use the energy we spend thinking about how right we are for something more… relaxing? What if Christians were known as the most Unoffendable people on the planet? In his winsome, conversational style, Brant shows us how to release the burden of righteous anger, so we can experience the joy of gratitude. Because when you choose to be Unoffendable, you’ll flourish the way God intends you to and find the peace you belong for in a constantly changing, never satisfying world.
If you plan to attend the Bible study, please sign up at church. For any questions, you can reach out to Gayla Miller (714.356.1915) or Kim Losey (714.404.3848), who are organizing various events for the City Gate ladies.
